Hicks Rooming House - new adjacent building proposal

Findings:
Project received an initial site plan review, and needs to be further developed. Preservation and rehabilitation of the historic rooming house west of the proposed larger new building is a positive aspect of the project. Both the Hicks House and the new compatible building are important to the vitality of Phoenix Ave and the Railroad Addition Historic District.

The new site development calls out the proposed demolition of a small home that is historically contributing to the Southside NRD. Demolition would require a CRS. HPO recommends preservation and temporary moving on new foundation meeting NPS Floodplain Standards. HPO returned for corrections with HPC to review the project as a whole.
