TITLE:
Little America - gas pump canopies

Findings:
Little America's Gas Pump Canopies do not meet current federal clearance requirements and have been run into on a regular basis. Existing canopies are to be removed and new replaced with new detached canopy in the same general area. Little America appears to be eligible for Local Listing 1972 (50 years) but specific date of the month of construction is not known and if 50 year date for review is applicable or enforceable. 10-30.30.050 Cultural Resource b) 6 b. When warranted by the specific conditions of the site or proposed work, the Historic Preservation Officer may determine that a cultural resource study is not required based on the following conditions:(6) Other circumstances under which it is reasonable to conclude that a cultural resource study is not warranted. The HPO reviewed the site limitations, gas systems and new proposed canopy locations which are in the same approximate location but detached. The HPO made the determination that no Cultural Resource Study was required. The HPO did reach out to the contractor and note the future potential for historic listing for Little America.
