Museum Post-Wildfire Flooding
City and County staff will share information about Museum Post-Wildfire Flooding and other rainfall events, emergency response, emergency mitigation efforts and next steps to the Flagstaff City Council and Coconino County Board of Supervisors. 
There have been a series of flooding and significant rainfall events within the city of Flagstaff and Coconino County beginning in July 2021. The City, County and County Flood Control District have been responding jointly to these events to help provide emergency mitigation to community members impacted by these flooding and rainfall events.
City and County staff members will present information on the following topics:
  • Overview of Museum Post-Wildfire Flooding and rainfall events
  • Joint Emergency Response with a flood warning system and support from the Incident Management Team and Emergency Operations Center
  • Operational Response from City and County Public Works, City Water Services, City, County and Private Consultant Engineering, Joint Information Center, Call Center and Volunteer Efforts
  • Assessment and Recovery including both public infrastructure and private property assessments
  • Financial Impact to date
  • Engineering and long-term mitigation strategies
  • Next Steps with community assistance and legislative advocacy
