TITLE:
City Consultation with SHPO Staff

Downtown Historic Transportation Corridor
Findings:
City staff met with SHPO staff to initiate a discussion about the multiple federal undertakings that are planned for or are in the planning stage that will take place within our Downtown Transportation Corridor. Projects include the Rio de Flag, Flood Control Project, the Downtown Mile, the Lone Tree Overpass, and related infrastructure investments and loans funded through federal programs. To assist in Section 106 Compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Flagstaff plans to pursue the funding and development of a Historic Property Management Plan (HPMP) that can be referenced and utilized for each of the individual undertakings. this will involve a request for a pass-through grant to help complete hire a consultant that can assist with the HPMP and help prepare an updated Class I Survey for the Area of Potential Impact for all of the projects, which have overlapping geographies.
