Call to Order

NOTICE OF OPTION TO RECESS INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Commission and to the general public that, at this regular meeting, the Commission may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, for legal advice and discussion with the City’s attorneys for legal advice on any item listed on the following agenda, pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3).

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approval of the minutes from the regular meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Moved by Mary Norton, seconded by Marie Jones approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of October 12, 2022 with the addition of which Commission members were excused.

GENERAL BUSINESS

Recommendation for abandonment of a portion of Hoskins Avenue public right of way south of 631 S. Fountaine Street.

STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City staff is seeking a recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission for abandonment of approximately 5,200 square feet of Hoskins Avenue public right of way south of 631 S. Fountaine Street, reserving the southern 20’ of Hoskins Avenue right of way to accommodate a planned Flagstaff Urban Trail System (FUTS) trail identified in the Regional Plan and the Active Transportation Master Plan.

Bryce Doty, Real Estate Manager, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the propose right of way abandonment and answered questions from Commissioners.

Moved by Carole Mandino, seconded by P. Lloyd Paul for the recommendation for the abandonment of the portion of 5,200 square feet of Hoskins Avenue public right of way south of 631 S. Fountaine Street

Vote: 6 - 0 - Unanimously
