Building Permits - Not requiring HPO review approval for Post WWII production housing.
Permit Number(s) & Address: Fierros BP-20-01877 3350 N Pine Dr. (1 door replaced); Marshal Windows BP-20-01898 3350 N Pine Dr. (9 windows replaced).
Approval Date:  9/11/2020
Type of Approval: Post WWII production housing with no Heritage Preservation Review.
The review of post WWII housing has proven to be difficult in making the determination of production housing that is not reviewed vs.more unique housing meeting the 50+ year heritage review requirement. This is particularly difficult in neighborhoods that have undergone development and removed like properties as well as neighborhoods that have modified properties over time. Subdivisions with housing development occurring over a short period of time is not necessary Post WWII production housing. The HPO utilizes his judgement on these determinations without full clarity of what Post  WWII production housing is that is not subject to Heritage review.
